The City of Crespo Comfort

Valencia – the city of many wonders and a place full of contrasts between charming old cathedrals and futuristic buildings of city arts which will definitely leave you amazed.

Valencia is home of beautiful colourful architecture in the old town, full of palm trees and beautiful green parks, alfresco ding and delicious cuisine (especially famous paella and variety of tapas), picturesque long sandy beaches and warm Mediterranean Sea, hospitable and charming locals yet relaxed atmosphere and samba rhythms on every step of the way which wants you to come back for more.

The attractions in Valencia you cannot miss

(guide provided by a local and my very good friend):

OCEANOGRAFIC - The Largest Aquarium in Europe

BIOPARC – The new generation ZOO

CATHEDRAL, MIGUELETE AND HOLY GRAIL - Built on an ancient Roman temple that was later a mosque, the Cathedral of Valencia is a Gothic-style building, although it preserves many elements from different periods, from Romanesque to Baroque eras. Another must-see is the Miguelete, the lantern tower. But it is a tower with 207 steps. It is 50.85 metres high and you can see the whole of Valencia from the top.

SANTA CATALINA - An essential stop in "La Plaza de la Reina" is the cafeteria Santa Catalina. Where you have to try our famous "horchata" with fartons (light fluffy bread with milky drink made from ground almonds, tiger nuts or rice).

LA LONJA- (THE SILK EXCHANGE) – UNESCO WORLD HERITAGE - The Lonja is an emblematic building of the city and one of the most famous civil gothic monuments in Europe. It was declared a National Historic and Artistic Monument in July1931 and was made a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in December 1996.

CENTRAL MARKET - In front of the Lonja you will find the Central market. It is the largest market with fresh produce in Europe and it stands out for its rich and varied cuisine. It is located in one of the most emblematic modernist buildings in the city.

MARINA DE VALENCIA - Between the city’s commercial port and the Seafront Promenade is Marina de Valencia, a cutting-edge area with wide spaces for walking, cycling, enjoying the local cuisine and taking part in sports and nautical activities. Developed when the Port was modernised to host the 32nd America’s Cup, this space combines culture, training and enterprise with sports, tourism and gastronomy.

JARDIN DEL TURIA - The Turia Garden is one of the largest urban parks in Spain. It runs through the city along nine kilometres of green space boasting foot paths, leisure and sports areas, and romantic spots where you can unwind. From Cabecera Park to the City of Arts and Sciences, the Turia Garden is the perfect place for runners, cyclists, families, and nature enthusiasts. Crossed by 18 bridges full of history, the former riverbed passes by the city's main museums and monuments on either bank.

Food and Drink Guide

A definite must: Agua de Valencia (refreshing cocktail with fresh orange juice, Cava and Vodka, usually served in a big jug).

Paella (meat or seafood paella, but the main rule here is never mix fish and meat together). As per local guide the best one is served here: Bar Llevant, Patacona Beach.

Places to Dine, Dance and HAVE FUN alfresco style of course:

Marina Beach Club - The place to impress

The Palau Alameda - Featuring a very nice terrace in a more modern area of Valencia where you can eat and have a drink with good music and a good atmosphere.

Rooftop Bar 270 (Hotel Barcelo) - Perched on top of the great Barceló Valencia you find the relaxing 270º Terrace and rooftop bar. Named after the L-shaped form of the terrace and the fantastic 270- degree view it offers, over the close by Turia Park and the City of Arts and Sciences, along with stretching panoramic over the city skyline.

Combining business with pleasure is always my preferred way of doing the job, so I am able to enjoy it at the same time. On our visit, there were so many amazing things to take in and we feel incredibly honoured to be the first UK dealer invited to the designated Crespo factory and enjoyed the full tour and journey of making this beautifully designed hand-made premium furniture from start to finish. The expertise and precision of the employees have been overwhelming and we can all learn that the patience is required to get the things done perfectly right - All these qualities are integrated in every single item and we have been through the whole process how.
